My Conversion Story

I’d like for you to open up your Bible as I show you what I have learned. Have an open mind and don’t come in with a set idea or a judgmental attitude. Be teachable. Be coachable. Now, let’s start. How did my journey begin?   With despair. I was questioning so many things. Why are there so many contradictory beliefs within the body of Christ? Why is the Church so divided and not united? I kept begging God to help me. Lead me. Call me. What do I do? Where do I go? These were my constant prayers for years as I slowly departed from God. Doubt creeped in and led me to not trust churches anywhere. There was so much division between each other that I couldn’t find the one that had the full truth. Part V Mariology Series: MARY AS THE PERPETUAL VIRGIN

In this fifth part, we will be looking into the Catholic Christian Doctrine of Mary’s Perpetual Virginity. Was she truly ever virgin or did she have children as Protestants believe?  Jewish context is really essential both in terms of customs and language to understand and grasp this topic at hand. If you want a more detailed study about this particular topic, I highly recommend the book “Jesus and the Jewish Roots of Mary” by Dr. Brant Pitre. Now, let's move on to the study. Part IV Mariology Series: MARY AS THE QUEEN MOTHER

Mary as revealed through the Scriptures from The Old Testament to The New Testament Welcome to our fourth part of our Mariology Series. Let’s get right to it. As always, we will start with Jesus and understand who He is before we turn our attention to Mary. Luke 1:31-32 NLT Angel Gabriel’s words to Mary at the Annunciation ‘ You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus. He will be very great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David .’ Today we are focusing on the identity Jesus has as the one who is the heir to the throne. This has manifold implications for who Mary is in a 1 st Century Jewish context. Any 1 st Century Jew would’ve known that Jesus is the king who's going to be seated on the throne.
